Meal Prep for the Week (Indian Kitchen)
Meal prep isn’t sad boxes of boiled chicken. In an Indian kitchen it’s just smart batching — and it removes the daily "what do I eat" trap.
What to batch
- Bases: cook a big pot of dal, rajma or chana; a batch of rice/roti dough.
- Protein: grill/curry a batch of chicken, paneer or boil eggs.
- Veg: chop and roast a tray; pre-cut salad stuff.
Assemble, don’t re-cook
Store components in the fridge (3–4 days) and just combine at mealtime. A weekly grocery list makes it faster and cheaper — buy for the plan, not on a whim.
Prep the protein and the base — those are the hard parts. Fresh veg and roti take minutes to finish daily.
